Assessment and Grading System

AGPS assesses the academic performance of each student every term. Two types of assessments are conducted simultaneously which are Academic Assessment, which would reflect the cognitive, affective and psychomotor development of the student in all the subject areas and the Behavioral Assessment which would measure the values exhibited in relation to the desired outcomes of education.

Promotion and Retention

The passing grade is sixty percent (60%) for the International General Education Program and fifty percent (50%) for the Khmer Program. To determine students who are eligible for promotion, these are to serve as the basis: 1.) If the student failed two core subjects for each program; and 2.) If the student failed to complete the four terms per school year. However, for the Khmer program, AGPS adheres to the mandate of Cambodia’s MoEYS. The core subjects are English, Khmer, Math, Science and Social Studies.
